Who processes the data
Aleksi Tech.

In short
The site uses no cookies and does not track you from one site to another. Visitor numbers are measured without cookies, and the data is never sold or used for advertising.
Visitor statistics
When you open a page, the following is recorded: the page you opened, where you came from (the referring page and the link's campaign tags), your browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and your country, region and city. Also recorded are the site's buttons you press, for example a WhatsApp contact, and the other site you go to from a link on the page.
The statistics are collected by Umami on servers in the EU. It uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. The data is kept for 6 months.
The legal basis is legitimate interest: developing the site and understanding which pages and channels work.
Link sharing and tracked links
When a link to the site is pasted into a message, for example in WhatsApp, LinkedIn or Teams, that service fetches a preview of the page. The time, the page and the name of the service are recorded. No IP address or other information about your device is stored.
Some of the site's links are tracked, for example aleksi.tech/predictone/jaakiekko and aleksi.tech/predictone/hockey. When such a link or page is opened or a preview of it is fetched, the link's name and the time are recorded, and for a preview also the service that fetched it. I do not know which person opened the link.
The data is kept in the EU for 24 months. Only totals, such as how many times a link has been opened, are kept longer; they contain no times and nothing about anyone. The legal basis is legitimate interest: keeping in touch and knowing whether a message reached its recipient.
Contact
The name, email address and message you send through the form are delivered to me by email. They are not stored on the site. I keep messages for as long as the correspondence requires.
When you choose to contact me on WhatsApp, you move to WhatsApp, and its own privacy policy applies there.
Browser storage
When you open a product demo with an access code, the access is saved in your browser's session storage so you do not have to enter the code again. It is cleared when you close the tab, and the information does not leave the site.
Service providers
- Vercel: the site's servers; processes technical log data such as IP addresses to deliver the service.
- Umami: visitor statistics.
- Upstash: link share and open data.
- Namecheap (Private Email): delivery of contact messages.
Some of these are US companies. Transfers of data outside the EU rely on safeguards under EU data protection law.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, its correction or deletion, and restrict or object to its processing. Visitor statistics are not linked to you, so they generally cannot be used to single out one person's data.
You can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
Changes
I update this notice when the processing changes. The date above shows the latest change.
